JobDiary Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use the JobDiary mobile application, website, and the SendSomeone lead-matching service (collectively, the "Services").

For the purposes of the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), JobDiary Ltd is the Data Controller for your account details, and acts as a Data Processor for any customer data logged by you inside your JobDiary account.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal information:

• Account Information: Your name, business name, phone number, email address, and role.
• Client & Invoice Data: Client names, phone numbers, email addresses, project descriptions, values, signed contracts, and receipt images that you upload.
• Location Data: Location coordinates captured to support the "Track My Tradesman" live ETA map. This is only tracked when you explicitly press "On My Way" to a job.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our applications, notifications, and web portals.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Services, including creating invoices, quotes, and dispatching team notifications.
• To facilitate homeowner job matching and contractor notifications through our SendSomeone portal.
• To verify your identity and authenticate access via secure OTP (One-Time Password) SMS.
• To process payments and deposits securely via our integrated third-party payment partner (Stripe).
• To monitor performance, secure our database, and troubleshoot bugs.

3. Data Storage and Retaining

All data is hosted securely within secure servers located in Europe/UK. Nightly database backups are encrypted and saved to cloud storage to prevent data loss. We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required by UK tax regulations (which require keeping accounting and invoice records for up to 6 years).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with trusted third parties to run our service, specifically:

• Stripe: To process secure credit/debit card payments.
• Meta Platforms / WhatsApp Cloud API: To send automated quotes, deposit requests, and notification links to your clients.
• Cloudflare: To deliver content securely and store images (receipts, photos).

5. Your Legal Rights
